The legend awakes!

Steve prefontaine seemes like a very motivated man that is veryyy talented and set many word records. Many people looked up to this man because she was small, BUT could run an insane running pace and win almost every race he steps foot on. As a person i think he seems loyal and warm hearted . He appears to be a likable person but when it comes to who he races with, than thats another story. It shows that when he was younger he had gotten bullied and steve always ran away from them. And he always out ran them. Whenever he runs a race now he thinks of them poking him and mean things so he runs even faster and then ends up winning!! Sometimes pre can be mean tho, because one of his teamates did good on the field and then pre ruined his moment. Anyways, He teaches a 9 year old not to let your dreams get ruined... and for people to never get in the way of them. College athletes think that they are better than everyone in the movie an pre relizes that that isnt true EVEN in the olympics.Pre had a goal in high school to break the record for the mile and he could never really do it so they always put him in the 2 mile and 3 mile. Pre hated it then soon loved it becuase he was winning more races. The conditions were poor in the olympic village.. and the food they gave you and the bed looked like a place for the homeless. Russia and america faced 2 times in basketball finals and they reset the clock twice.

College athletes...

No. I've always been pro-union (even though they are not what they used to be), but this is the most preposterous thing I've ever heard. Especially because they are students first and foremost, and the students and university seem to be forgetting this. If this passes and they are able to receive income and benefits, then they no longer should be considered students, but employees of the university. And if that's the case, then those who have received scholarships for school has to pay it back and pay for their entire "schooling." I dont think they should be called employes because in the end of the day they shouldnt be getting paid!! its just a sport. I think if they were employes at the college than they should be treated like a normal college student and then YES they should get there degrees!

2014 Boston Marathon recap

Everybody was very couscous the day of the Boston marathon, There were many runners and fans taking risks of being there because of the bombing that happened last year. the females elite division, there was a lot of talented runners especially Americans all star shalene Flanagan. Every year she runs this race wanting to win. Right before the race started she was silent and didn't even look up and wave to the fans. When the gun went off she bolted!!! Her first mile was a blazing 5:11 and the lead runners had some trouble keeping up with her pace.. with in 13.1 miles she started to struggle with agonizing pains.. she started to die down with 4 runners passing her. BUT she finished 7th overall with 26.2 miles completed in 2 hours and 22 seconds.. That to me is amazing because she had a 5:36 for a whole 26 miles...WOWW Anyways Rita jeptoo from Kenya had won the race with a very fast time of 2:18.She had told the media that whenever she runs a race like this she always sticks behind the front leaders then creeps in front half way threw the race to the front and gives it her all. Rita had also won the BM in 2002 so she is very talented. At the end of the race Rita gave credit to shalene for " sparking the historic run with going out with a bang" in the beginning to halfway point in the marathon. Overall, the top 10 female finishers all ran their fastest times in the boston marathon.shalene flanagen says the she will remain still competing until she wins this race for boston.

Comments about PK Subban

I think that the comments that the "Bruins fans" made on twitter were just so mean.. after him doing so well in the hockey game and then have people calling him hurtful names such as the N word doesn't make him feel to good. I think that twitter is just drama and when people post things on twitter during big games like this, than its going to be blown outta apportion no matter what. Because people are asking for attention. And I think that the people that posted mean comments should be labeled as racist... not Boston itself! I think that sports arguments and mean things like this happen all the time, so sometimes its best to just ignore it.

What is a sport??

I think a sport is an activity involving physical capability and skill in which an individual or team competes against another or others for entertainment. It also consists of being in good shape and being motivated.Physical events such as scoring goals or crossing a finish line, first often define the result of a sport. However the degree of skill in some sports such as diving, and figure skating is judged according to well-defined criteria. This is in contrast with other judged activities such as beauty pageants and body-building shows, where skill does not have to be shown and the criteria are not as well defined. I don't think that card games, playing chest, and bowling are any sports what so ever!! people like to say that its a sport because it makes them feel like there active and cool and part of something.. they are just lazy to me. I also don't think that cheerleading is a sport because all they do is just stand there and try to look pretty and wear skanky clothes. I only like the competitive cheer teams. Anyways, I think that football, soccer, tennis, basketball, RUNNING, and any other sport that involves moving around constantly IS a sport. Sports also help usgain not only the good health but also the interesting, enthusiastic and thrilling feelings. Anyone who wants to play any sport needs to spend time for practicing. However, it’s said that there are many reasons in choosing team sports or individual sports. I choose running because it helps me stay in shape and relieve stress. I never thought I would like it at first but now I love it!!

Boston STRONGER

I think the Boston Celtics will do great this season. They are going to have more motivation to do well just because of what happened with the Boston marathon bombing. They will represent Boston in a positive way especially because the Celtics will have one potentially very nice draft pick up this year! also, they’re currently tied with Orlando for third in the lottery standings and another one in the middle of the first round. But Ainge" leader of Celtics" does not believe anybody in this year’s draft class will become a closer right away.

The Tiger woods scandel!!

Tiger woods is a very talented and famous golfer. Every year he used to play at the TPC right near us in norton. In 2009 he was almost selected worlds best golfer 2009! Then suddenly he hit rock bottom and everything started to crumble and fall apart for him. Just before thanksgiving in 2009 his whole life changed. His wife Elin found out that Tiger had cheated on her with a woman named Rachel Unchitel. The whole world was in awe! Everyone though he was an all american faitful man but he proved the world wrong! His wife was so upset about this. Tiger made himself go crazy.. at around 2:30am he crashed his SUV into a Fire hydrant and then into a tree, Elin then ran outside wuth a golf club and shattered his windsheild and chased after him. If i was her i would be nuts too because no women should be cheated on. After that whole thing happend tiger decided not to attend Chevron world golf challenge. Anyways, a few months later a new lady stepped in with the name of Jaimee Grabbs. Apparetly they has an affair in 2007 and shes just coming out now letting people know. I guess tiger didnt want anyone knowing and he had called her and left a message saying to delete him from her contacts and never talk to him again.. hes just a lame man... THEN a porn star Holly announced she had an affair with him too!! And along with 7 others. Its really crazy to me that his wife had no idea that he was sleeeping with that many women. And it doesnt make much sense to me because Tigers wife Elin was flawless. In 2010 tiger left golfing for a little while to try and fix his marrage. Sadly it didnt work because the damage had been done, so they divorced shortly after. I think that his reputaion has been ruined by alot! Because now he looks like such a bad and unfaitful man. And he had ruined his career because of it. I dont really here the name of tiger woods anymore.. OHH WELL :)Its well deserved

Second Interview.. Mrs. Newell

My second interview i did Mrs. Newell! She Is the coach for the Norton high school girls volleyball team. She is a great coach and always gives it her all. Anyways, I asked her how she go interested in the sport and she said that someone told her that she would be a great player cause she is tall. Right when she picked up that volleyball she was hooked. She said in high school she was very successful in the sport and got awards like patriot league all stars in the paper, and captain on her team. Her volleyball team was division 2 champions! After high school she wanted to further her career in volleyball and ended up being the captain once again and winning many awards. That's just impressive to me that she was the captain in college because I bet that a hard spot to get because its very competitive. Now being out of college and being a school teacher now, Newell explained to me that she would like her daughter to start playing once she gets older. Seems to me she has already started with all the volleyballs around her house she likes to play with! She already has 2 of her own! Mrs. Newell also told me that she still plays volleyball , but not as much as she would like.

Jerry Sandusky

This case just makes me sick... first of all who would ever think of raping 26 young men... Jerry Sandusky basically threw his whole life away from playing on a professional football team in Penn State. He raped 26 young men in his basement in his small house, supposedly with his wife Dottie ( not knowing anything and is a moron).. Which to me is a complete lie. I think the victims didn't tell anyone because Jerry would give them money so they wouldn't tell anyone. But When someone found out , Jerry was sentenced 30-60 years well deserved. His wife tired not to believe it was true and still to this day supports, and visits him in jail daily. From my opinion I think that his wife is lying and must of heard screaming in the basement... I do believe that professional athletes and coacher are above the law.

Interview one-Brooke K

Brooke has always been a very athletic girl. At the age of 3 she found love in the sport of soccer. She is the only one in her family that plays this sport. She explained to me that every chance she gets she practices as much as she can and I believe that cause I always saw her in my gym class! I had asked her how she trains to get so good and she explained to me that she likes to go outside and works on her skills. Brooke says she loves soccer so much because it is a combination between every sport put together. Brooke doesn't play for the school because she likes to just focus on school and then soccer out of school. She takes school very serious, Honor student and also in DECA. Her best moment in her whole soccer career is when she got a call-up from a coach in Boston that wanted her to be on his team... she then thought to herself that maybe someday she could play on a more challenging team in college! And that the one she is currently on right now is not easy what so ever!!

Ryan Hall 2014 Boston Marathon!!!

So im not really into many sports BUT I do have a love for running, Esp long distance running. One of my favorite elite runners will be running in the Boston marathon this year in April! I cant wait to see him on TV. Ryan Hall is an all American long distance runner. He has run in Boston 3 times total and always landed in second place overall. In 2011 he set a American record in the marathon with a blistering time of 2:04:58.. That is insane. Basically every mile is 5 minutes long for him for 26.2 miles. Norton swim and diving team= record breakers!!!

Norton highschool has a very strong swim and diving team. There has been many victories threw out the season, and very impressive preformances esp from the younger rookies on the team. For Nortons meet against taunton the team combined 22 best times in just the first swim meet of the season! Freshman Allison Hunt and Quinn mcAlear each took down two individual records. All eyes were on them because they were brand new on the team and having such a successful day in JUST the first meet of there highschool careers. Another standout on the team is track star Eric sanford, Belinsky, Brandon Blair posted the mark of 4:01:91 with a new record in the relay. The team is also very good at heart, because on December20th the team gave a hand on helping assemble dinners for the local families in need. Anyways, norton girls and boys team preformed well at Middleboro invitational meet setting 3 more school records, they swam their way to 24 new personal bests. They also had 3 swimmers on the team achieve the special golden goggles award. They were all the senior lady lancers. A big part of that meet was Quinn on finishing second overall in the 200 free style with a blistering time of 2:07:61!! All threw the season there have been wins and losses.. But all that matters is that they had tried their very best and reached there goals, and also met new friends. The team should all be very proud of the great season they had. They are moticated highschool students and will be ready to break even more records next year!!!

Deena Kastor will run in the Los Angeles 2016 olympic marathon trials!

Deena Michelle is an all American long distance runner and holds many records in the marathon races she runs. She is 5"4 and 104lbs and is from Waltham MA. She won the bronze medal in the womwens marathon at the 2004 Olimpics in Athens, Greece. She was always the standout athlete in highschool. She competed in the most hardest race for any highschool running athlete could ever qualify for, and one 2 of the races. Its called the Footlocker cross country championships. Anyways, after she was done with college she decided that she just wanted to focus on marathons. After all of her hard work and training had paid off because in 2007 she placed 5th in the Boston Marathon!!! Which i will be running in the Baystate marathon in october to try and qualify for the boston marathon 2015. Deena went threw a few foot issues and knee problems but she pushed through them all. She had a baby in 2010 and quickly got back into "beast mode" and set a record in the marathon with the time of 2:19!!!!!Its crazy to think about because that like holding a 5 minute mile threw 26.2 miles! Thats insane. When she steps foot on the starting line in Los Angeles in 2016 i think its going to be a smoke show and shes going to win it.. it may be a battle at the end BUT she got this no doubt about it! :)

sam in the game!

I think on how well Sam plays on the NFL team will be how they determine his acceptance. I dint think the players wil really care much if hes a really good player because they will just focus on how well he plays for them. In my opinion I don't think it will really be a big deal.

Gangster in the huddle!!!!

Hernandez had always been into drugs and the life of violence. After he had lost his father his mother had married a violent coke dealer. So it effected him a lot. Aaron was described as goofy and very funny. His mother is known as causing alot of drama in the house. She cheated on her husband just before he had died. Anyways, The coach probably wanted Hernandez on the team because of his athletic talents BUT they also thought he was good because he's so aggressive. Aaron later on got mixed into the wrong crowd and started partying and bringing a gun around everywhere he went. he said he never felt safe. The patriots were saddened by what he did, but they kept him for stupid reasons. His best friend was Lloyd. One night when they were out they saw Lloyd's cousin and the cousin told Hernandez off and he got pissed then he ended up killing Lloyd cause people said he was a bad seed. Then stupidly he posed a picture up with a gun and blood on himself from the killing and he got arrested! But he deserves it.

Seahawks dominating performanc!!! 43-8

Man I was wrong about my prediction! Manning had a very bad day and he made me disappointed. I couldn't watch much of the game due to work but I watched the last hour of it. I got to give credit when is due, so the other team did awesome. There were many touchdowns, The 12 seconds of play marked the fastest score in Super Bowl history. I enjoyed watching the last few commercials cause some were good and I also liked eating all the nachos on the table. Overall the game was very entertaining to watch ad I fairly enjoyed it! The score was 43-8. I was and am still pissed about that -__-

Broncos for the win wih the help from Manning!!!!

I think that the Broncos are going to win because they have full advantage and have a well balanced team! they also have Manning ( Quarterback) on the team which is a very strong player, and on top of his game. The Seahawks are a very strong team but knowing that Manning will be there they will get DESTROYED.

The unwanted athletes

The artical that i just read makes me very mad. It makes no sense that they are letting elite atletes into college for free just because they can play on there teams. I mean.. they cant even read on a fourth grade level. Just because they are good at sports doesnt mean its right for them to get into a nice state college when there are other students that actually try to earn themselves there and get the right education.
